1945 Chevrolet Pick-Up / Frame Off Restoration
There were few Chevrolet Pick-Ups sold in 1945 and for good reason. Between March 9th, 1942 and July 31st, 1945 only the Office of Defense could authorize the sale of a light duty truck to the civilian market. In an already low production market in these three years of 56, 128 trucks, fewer than 6,000 were titled as 1945's. There were few for sale only to qualified and essential buyers and required War Department authorization.
