The Henry Ford Estate, Fair Lane, was the beloved home of Clara and Henry Ford. It was here that this iconic American couple changed our world with the automobile, but also through their dedication to education, health care and environmentalism. This couple in so many ways created the American middle class as we know today - and changed the way the world moves and operates. The estate is undergoing extensive restoration to return it to the Ford's home in 1919. It will create a strong and immersive experience for visitors to enter the lives of the Fords, to understand their contributions and to make connections to the relevancy of the Ford Legacy to our lives in today's world.
