The 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE

Equipped with a powerful 440 cu in (7.2 L) Magnum engine, the Challenger R/T featured a Rallye instrument cluster that included a 150 mph (240 km/h) speedometer, an 8,000 rpm tachometer, and an oil pressure gauge. Notably, the shaker hood scoop was discontinued after 1971.

The Special Edition (SE) hardtop, offered exclusively during the 1970 model year, could be added to either the base Challenger or the R/T trim. This luxurious SE package introduced a variety of enhancements focused on appearance, comfort, and convenience. Standard features included a vinyl roof adorned with "SE" medallions on the pillars, a smaller "formal" rear window, leather and vinyl bucket seats, and an overhead interior console housing three warning lights for door ajar, low fuel, and seatbelt reminders.
