"1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427ci I 435hp (L-71) The Holy Grail of the Corvette World! What you see here may be one of the last of its kind in the open market. An unrestored SURVIVOR class 1967 Corvette Stingray Coupe with just 9812 original and actual miles.(Mileage Exempt on Title) The following is not only what we know about this unrestored Corvette, but what we can Prove! The mileage is Actual at 9812 miles. This is a 2 owner car purchased NEW at Pape Chevrolet in So. Huntington NY on Jan 15, 1968 by Mr. James E. Selvy Jr after returning from Vietnam. It has been a Long Island NY car since new. It has only left LI NY on rare occasions by the original owner who loved taking the car to renowned local racetracks such as National Speedway& Islip Speedway on Long Island, and Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ in the late 60s and very early 70s. The original racetrack stickers of these speedways are still on both sides of the rear glass as shown. Original Nixon and Agnew bumper stickers are still on the rear bumpers as well. The racing helmet used by Mr Selvy is shown in the photos and will come with the car as well as other spare parts and original tires. Mr Selvy passed away in 1998. It was then purchased by the 2nd owner through Mr Selvy's family. The entire engine and drive train is 100% Matching Numbers Original. ALL parts are original as well including the alternator, steering box, brake master cylinder, all 3 carburetors, radiator, headlight motors and everything all 3 carburetors, radiator, headlight motors and everything
else. ALL glass is original including the front windshield and vent windows. This is a factory original Sunfire Yellow (GM code 984) car. Factory options on this car include the L-71 427/435hp engine, factory 4speed close ratio M21 transmission, Positract axle 370 rear, power windows, vacuum power brakes, PB -AM-FM radio, factory Telescopic wheel, factory Headrests and Transistor Ignition. The car runs and drives like new. All gauges and features work perfectly. That includes the headlight doors, wipers, lights, radio and Yes; the clock which tics in one second increments as it did from the factory. None of these options have ever needed or have been repaired. The original T-3 headlights are still on the car. The original tank sticker is still on the tank and is visible from a small tare in the rubber gas tank filler gasket. Other amazing documentation include:: Window Sticker (copy and orig ??)
