A Note From the Seller:
The Hudson Motor Car Company, or simply Hudson Motors, was founded in 1909 by Joseph L. Hudson. In the first year, Hudson Motors sold 4,000 of their original four-cylinder models. This represented the highest number of first year sales of any car company up to that point and quickly earned Hudson respect in the American auto market. The first generation Hudson Super Six also known as the Series H was introduced in 1916. The Super Six was an early performance car. Its 288.5 cu in inline six-cylinder engine developed 76 hp compared to the 40 hp of the equally dimensioned engine in the Hudson Model Six-40. Befor its public debut, Hudson made a series of speed runs in Super Sixes on a track in New York. This was followed by a new record setting transcontinental run from San Francisco to New York, then a stock chassis speed record at Daytona Beach, a record at Pike's Peak, and a 24 hour stock chassis record. In the 1940 film “The Grapes of Wrath”, the Joad family drives a 1926 Super Six. That car was found in storage and converted into a Speedster in 2009.

As you can see, this 1925 Super Six is not your average Hudson. After learning of the “Grapes of Wrath” speedster in 2018, the owner felt the original sedan coachwork of this car was far too understated for such a wonderful drivetrain. That is when this custom oak barrel speedster was born. The jet-black paint and oak wheels work extremely well with the unique interior. And the legendary and original Hudson Super Six drive train speaks for itself. You can definitely have fun with it at your local hangout, parade, or local show. It is a nice build using quality components to complement the original ones and professionally built and trimmed. Gauges on the interior side of the firewall monitor speed, oil, and amperage. The soft parts are made of buttoned tufted black leather and have been scarcely sat on since 2018. The large Beals and Selkirk Trunk sits behind the rear seat for all your storage needs. The spare tire sits behind it with a nice “HUDSON 1925” cover over it. This car is fun and is bound to get the new owner invited many places to show it off.
