A Note From the Seller: I started with what was essentially a rust free Malibu sport coupe and was converted to the SS 454 you see in the pictures. The car was finished at the end of 2018 and only has about 350 miles on it. It has always been garage, never driven in the rain or when it was wet out. It has only been cleaned with detailer and very soft rags to not scratch the surface. No water has gotten on the car since it has been finished. It comes with a custom indoor cover.

Full frame off restoration to a very high standard by B-Mac's Auto Restoration in Raleigh, NC. I have the original build sheet from the car. I wanted to keep the exterior and interior essentially stock looking with the exception of the wheels and the front seats. I wanted the seats to be electric. The seats came out of a 2018 SS Camaro and are fully electric. They were custom upholstered in the original style vinyl, in the pattern consistent with the 1971 SS Chevelle Models.

The frame was stripped to bare metal and fully boxed and braced with an HPI Custom Kit. The visible parts of the frame were smoothed before being painted. The body was also stripped to bare metal (see pictures). Suspension is all Global West using their best components, including billet aluminum rear trailing arms and their extended travel front coil over kit. This stock boxed and braced from with the premium Global West set up is just as good as any of the aftermarket chassis out there. Best part is that the frame is original to the car. That was part of the build philosophy which was to keep the main "bones" of the car original and make them better.

It is easy to say that only the best parts were used, and in this case, that is true. A list of the parts will confirm that. I have all of the receipts. Everything is new, nothing rebuilt.

The color is 1970 Astro Blue. The 1971 model was changed to Ascot Blue which had a slightly different hue. The Astro Blue is, to me prettier. The paint was cut and buffed 7 times, which is the way to get a smooth deep shine, like looking in a mirror.

The paint and body work on the car was right at $40,000. No corners cut.

The bumpers and door handles are original to the car and were re-plated by Advanced Plating at a cost of $4,300. (Re-pop bumpers are only about $200 each but are not near the specs of the original GM parts)

Rear is a Moser 9", wave trac posi, 35 spline axles, 1350 yoke, nodular iron case, with 3:55 gears. The best!

Brakes are Wilwood 13", 6 piston calipers up front, and 13", 4 piston calipers in the rear.

The engine is a Chevrolet Performance LSX 454. I really wanted to keep the cubic inches at 454 which are what the original SS Chevelles came with. The LS7 intake, which comes with the engine, was replaced with an MSD Atomic Air Force intake. It is good for another 35 - 40 horsepower over the LS7 intake. Chevrolet rates the engine at 627 torque, so this one is making about 665hp and a little more torque. The headers are by Ultimate Headers and are polished to a mirror finish. Look at the flanges for these headers in the pictures-super special! Nobody else has anything like them.

The accessory drive kit is Vintage Air with a chrome finish (polished requires too much maintenance). Radiator is a high capacity BE COOL with twin electric fans and their "show" finish-best they make.

The transmission is a brand new Tremec 6 speed manual. The clutch is a McLeod RST Street twin disc to handle the extra horsepower.

The car is full of special details like the custom made billet aluminum radiator hold downs. Those little jewels were $300. All the hardware in the engine compartment is stainless and has been polished. As you'll see in the pictures, the engine firewall has been smoothed and painted to show finish. Look at how clean the engine compartment is. All lines were hidden to the extent they could be.

The interior is all new, from the floor to roof. Legendary Interiors supplied all of the upholstery. They are quite a bit more expensive that other pedestrian brands out there, but theirs matches the original GM spec as to the thickness of the vinyl, grain pattern, etc. A/C is Vintage Air. There is also a high end sound system you can see in the pictures. The rear inside deck houses the subwoofers and the main speakers and all are hidden by a custom grill cloth. Super clean look. Electric windows were also added. Gauges are Dakota Digital top line analog HDX.

I could keep going but believe these are the high points. The cost to duplicate the build today at B-Mac's would be close to $350k due to much high labor and parts prices.
